Sullivan honored for client satisfaction
HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The American Institute of Real Estate Agents has recognized the performance of real estate agent Cynthia Moler Sullivan of Sullivan Select in Hagerstown, Md., as a Two Years 10 Best Real Estate Agents for Client Satisfaction.
The institute is a third-party rating organization that publishes an annual list of the Top 10 Real Estate Agents in each state. Agents who are selected to the “10 Best” list must pass AIOREP’s selection process, which is based on client and/or peer nominations, research and AIOREP’s independent evaluation. AIOREP’s annual list was created to be used as a resource for clients during the selection process.
Optometrist joins Frederick practice
FREDERICK, Md. — Dr. Chad Tiede has joined Dr. Padmini Nathan and Dr. April Miller in their practice in Frederick, Md.
After four years of military service, Tiede returned to the Mid-Atlantic area to pursue his interests in ocular disease and vision management.
Yazbek joins Coldwell Banker Premier
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Jessica Yazbek has joined Coldwell Banker Premier as a sales associate.
Originally from Los Angeles, Yazbek has lived in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia for more than 17 years. With a background in customer service, Yazbek has developed skills in building relationships, solving problems and listening to people’s wants and needs.
Yazbek is licensed in Virginia and is working on obtaining her West Virginia licensure.
Frostburg names VP for enrollment management
FROSTBURG, Md. — Arlene Wesley Cash, most recently vice president for enrollment management at Guilford College in North Carolina, was named to Frostburg State University’s recently established position of vice president for enrollment management.
Bringing together admissions, financial aid, the office of the registrar, Programs Advancing Student Success, the Center for Academic Advising and Retention and TRIO programs, Cash will bring a student-success focus to the university’s enrollment initiatives.
iHire appoints Flook to CEO
FREDERICK, Md. — iHire has promoted President Steve Flook to CEO.
As president and CEO of the Maryland-based recruitment technology provider, Flook will drive growth initiatives while continuing to lead the company’s day-to-day operations.
Founder and former CEO David MacFadyen will resume his role as executive chair of iHire’s board of directors.
Cardiologist, thoracic surgeon join WVU Heart and Vascular
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The WVU Heart and Vascular Institute recently hired Dr. Imad Ahmado and Dr. Mark Sullivan to the cardiology practice in Martinsburg.
Ahmado is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Sullivan will help lead the practice of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Sullivan is a board-certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon.
Four join Foundation’s board
HAGERSTOWN, Md. — The Community Foundation of Washington County has elected four new members to its board of trustees.
The new trustees are Todd Baer, Brett McKoy, Tom Newcomer and F. Christian Wright IV, according to a news release from the foudation.
• Baer, a retired, local investor, founded T.A. Baer Inc., T.A. Baer Logistics LLC and Warehouse & Terminal Properties LLC.
• McKoy recently retired after 30 years as a police officer with the Hagerstown Department of Police and a senior pastor of Cutting Edge Ministries.
• Newcomer is the president and owner of R. Bruce Carson Jewelers.
• Wright is president of Wright-Gardner Insurance Inc. and is a certified risk manager and insurance counselor.
Leaving the board this year after many years of service are the Rev. Dr. D. Stuart Dunnan, headmaster at Saint James School; Louis Giustini, regional president at The Columbia Bank, John Hershey III, senior vice president of The Hershey-Fitzsimmons Group of RBC Wealth Management; Steven O’Farrell, vice president of William G. Bowen Inc., and Robin Twigg, vice president of Twigg Cycles.
First United names market president for Washington Co.
OAKLAND, Md. — Alan D. Mullendore was recently named Washington County market president for First United Bank & Trust, overseeing the bank’s strategic sales and growth initiatives in the county.
Mullendore brings more than 19 years of banking and customer service experience to the company. Most recently, he was regional operations manager at NautraLawn of America, providing guidance for independently owned franchises within the national system.
FCPS announces new HR director
FREDERICK, Md. — Timothy D. Thornburg has been named director of human resources with the Frederick County (Md.) Public Schools.
He fills the vacancy created following Paula Lawton’s retirement.
