BioStat Solutions Inc. of Frederick, Md., was among 11 small- and mid-sized Maryland companies that recently received received ExportMD grants to help promote their products and services in the global marketplace.

Washington County, Md., lodging establishments paid $191,972 in hotel/motel taxes in August, according to the most recent figures released by the county. That’s down from $211,734 in July and $192,640 in August 2016.
