WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — Myersville resident has been named president of the Homewood Foundation.
Shuman comes to the Williamsport-based Homewood Retirement Centers after serving for 10 years with the Asbury Foundation, the fundraising arm of Asbury Communities, and has 20 years’ experience in the senior-living industry.
At Homewood, Shuman will direct the fundraising program that includes direct mail appeals, special events, legacy and planned giving and capital campaigns. The Foundation is also responsible for Homewood’s Benevolent Fund that assists Homewood residents when their personal funds have been depleted.
Homewood Retirement Centers owns and operates five full-service retirement communities in Maryland and Pennsylvania that are home to more than 2,000 residents and employs more than 1,200 co-workers.
