SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. —
José Ricardo-Osorio, Modern Languages Department chairman and acting associate provost for Educational Effectiveness Assessment at Shippensburg University, was recently named the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association’s post-secondary educator of the year.
The educator of the year award is based on distinguished teaching and professional contributions in world languages and cultures.
Ricardo-Osorio began his teaching career 29 years ago as an English as a Foreign Language teacher. For the last 17 years he has worked as a Spanish teacher and a teacher trainer.
The PSMLA will present Ricardo-Osorio with his award during ceremony and luncheon on Oct. 6 in Harrisburg, Pa.
