Gateway Home Care achieves accreditation

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Gateway Home Care, an affiliate of WVU Medicine, has been accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care.

Achieving accreditation shows that a healthcare organization complies with national standards, according to a WVU Medicine news release.

Accreditation is determined based on data submitted by the organization and results of an on-site survey.

Gateway Home Care, which has been ACHC accredited since 2016, provides durable medical equipment products and services to residents of Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties. Services include respiratory therapy, home care equipment sales and rentals, home medical supplies, pediatric home care services and rehab and orthopedic products.

“Our commitment to our patients and customers is for Gateway Home Care to be the local choice for products and services that help patients live as independently and actively as possible,” Judy Hockman, Gateway’s director, said in a news release. “I am very proud of our entire team for working together to once again achieve ACHC accreditation.”
