Nine companies in the Crossroads Business Journal region were ranked on Inc. Magazine’s 2019 list of the 5,000 fastest-growing companies in the United States.
For the annual Inc. 5000, the magazine ranked U.S.-based, privately held companies according to percentage revenue growth from 2015 to 2018.
At the top of Inc.’s national list this year is Freestar, an advertising and marketing company based in Phoenix, Ariz. Founded in 2015, the company reported three-year growth of 36,680%. Total revenue in 2016 hit $36.9 million.
Triple Crown Construction, based in Frederick, Md., reported a three-year growth rate of 99% and ranked No. 3,548 on the Inc. list.
Company President Chris Rapp attributed the success to a number of factors, including team members who aligned in their passion and goals, a company culture that promotes both the company as a whole as well as each individual taking part, and an organizational strategy that allows each department to focus on their strengths and innovate in their respective roles.

“I’m proud of the entire Triple Crown Construction family. You always hear people say, ‘I couldn’t have done it without them,’ and in this case that’s truer than ever,” Rapp said in a news release. “Everyone at the company has worked hard and done their best, not just for us but for our customers. We’ve been so successful because we haven’t lost track of what we’re all here for: to help our clients and our community.”
