Gifts pay for equipment at medical center

Two monetary gifts were recently made to buy equipment at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa. The first was a stretcher for patient care in the wound center that was gifted by FCMC’s The Corner Gift Shop at $6,000. The other was a new elliptical machine for the Community Health and Wellness Center, thanks to a $3,000 gift from the FCMC Foundation. That money came through gifts from the annual fund. […]

MONT ALTO, Pa. — About 100 family members, friends and business leaders recently honored Mike and Donna Ross and joined in establishing of a Renaissance Fund Scholarship. Marcy Hoffman was named Business Person of the Year. Western Md. Health System launches nurse residency program

CUMBERLAND, Md. — Western Maryland Health System has added the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program to help new nurses as they begin their careers. The announcement was made recently by James Karstetter, vice president and chief nursing officer. “As many experienced nurses are leaving the workforce due to retirement, it is very important to give our new nurses a solid foundation to begin their nursing career.
