Physical medicine, pain management specialist hired


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — WVU Medicine welcomes Dr. Leslie S. Foster to Berkeley Medical Center and WVU Medicine Brain and Spine, operated by University Health Associates.

Foster is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as pain management. He specializes in the use of an evidence-based approach to diagnose and treat painful spine disorders as well as medication management.

Dr. Michael Ang-Rabanes, a psychiatrist, to WVU Medicine Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in Martinsburg.

A member of the Berkeley Medical Center medical staff and assistant professor of medicine at the WVU School of Medicine, Ang-Rabanes is board certified in psychiatry, psychosomatic/consultation-liaison psychiatry and addiction medicine. He specializes in ECT and medication-assisted treatment.

WVU Medicine welcomes obstetrician, gynecologist

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center and University Healthcare Physicians recently announced the


addition of Dr. Lori A. Tucker, obstetrician/gynecologist, to WVU Medicine OB/GYN in Martinsburg.

A member of the Berkeley Medical Center medical staff, Tucker brings 17 years of medical practice experience to UHP including high risk obstetrics, reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology, adolescent gynecology and menopausal medicine.

Md. Realtors Leadership Academy graduates class

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Three area real estate agents recently completed the Maryland Realtors Leadership Academy.

This was the 19th class to graduate.

Academy classes were conducted over seven months with an emphasis on the value of professional and personal commitment to business, charitable and civic endeavors.

The graduating honorees from the Crossroads Business Journal area included Terry L. LaScola and Peter S. Murray of Frederick and Kimberly Lewis of Hagerstown.


Knecht joins Plamondon Hospitality Partners

FREDERICK, Md. — Plamondon Hospitality Partners recently announced that Leah Knecht was appointed to the role of talent manager at the company’s corporate office in Frederick. In this new role, Knecht will oversee associate training, development and engagement.

As an office manager, Knecht was responsible for recruiting and hiring new teachers, creating job postings, interviewing candidates, conducting reference checks and onboarding new employees.


Dioguardo named Brethren Mutual director of claims

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — George Dioguardo recently joined Brethren Mutual Insurance Co. as director of claims.

In that role, he oversees the company’s claims operations and its 28-member staff. Bringing 30 years of experience to the position, Dioguardo has spent his career working in claims leadership roles for Travelers, Zurich and Nationwide insurance companies.

Agent joins RE/MAX Results


FREDERICK, Md. — Arch Hodges recently joined Re/Max Results in Frederick, Md., as a real estate agent.

Hodges moved in January to Brunswick, Md., from Georgia, where he was previously licensed as a real estate agent. He is experienced in residential, commercial, farm and timber sales, as well as commercial leasing.

F&M Trust announces new hires, promotions

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — F&M Trust recently announced the following hires and promotions:


Alissa Myers has been hired as assistant community office manager for F&M Trust’s Newville office.

Karen Metz has been hired as community office manager for the bank’s Greencastle, Pa., and Marion, Pa., offices.

Jill Reddecliff has been promoted to marketing operations officer. Reddecliff joined the bank in 2016. She is based at the F&M Trust corporate headquarters in Chambersburg.

Melissa Miller has been promoted to assistant vice president, marketing manager. Miller has been with the bank for 13 years. She is based at the F&M Trust corporate headquarters in Chambersburg.


Rachel Bowers has been promoted to community office manager for the bank’s Orchard Park Community Office in Chambersburg.

Cheyann Harshman has been promoted to assistant community office manager for the bank’s Marion Community Office. In her new role, Harshman is responsible for overseeing routine operations to meet the goals of the community office while also motivating and supporting staff.

Coldwell Banker agents win nine awards

WINCHESTER, Va. — The Blue Ridge Association of Realtors recently announced its award winners for 2018 sales production, and several Coldwell Banker Premier agents achieved top honors.

Tim Shamblin and Kim Gengler were presented the Chairman’s Award for sales totaling over $2 million. Judy Wolfrey has earned the President’s Award for achieving more than $4 million in sales.

Matt Bradley, Sharon Cales and Ken Evans are Hall of Fame members and received the Platinum Award for superior sales production of more than $6 million for at least the past five years in a row.

Craig Alexander and John Feldman were given the Team Award – Sapphire Club for joint sales of over $6 million. Alexander was also honored with the Past Appreciation Award in recognition of his contributions to the success of the realtors association.

iHire resume writers earn master-level certifications

FREDERICK, Md. — iHire’s Freddie Rohner and Natalie Winzer have received Certified Master Resume Writer credentials from Career Directors International.

To earn the certification, Rohner and Winzer had to demonstrate superior knowledge and experience in contemporary resume development.

Rohner, resume services product manager, joined iHire in 2010 with a background in copywriting and broadcasting. In addition to specializing in accounting/finance and HR resume writing, he works with the iHire product team to grow the company’s professional resume writing solutions and expand its self-service resume tools.

Winzer, resume writer and content marketing supervisor, also came to iHire in 2010, bringing experience in copywriting, marketing and advertising. Along with specializing in health care and HR resume writing, Winzer leads iHire’s copywriting and content marketing efforts to publish and curate online resources for both job seekers and employers.


Local Home Helpers owner earns national award

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Lisa Fausey of Martinsburg earned the Shooting Star award at the 2019 Home Helpers Home Care National Conference in New Orleans.

The Shooting Star is a regional award that highlights Home Helpers office owners who consistently grow their business in all areas through operational efficiencies, client satisfaction responses, successful local marketing and exceptional service.

Fausey was recognized along with other award winners for the performance of her office in 2018 at the company’s annual awards night dinner. Helmstetter named Social Worker of the Year

CUMBERLAND, Md. — Jen Helmstetter, a social worker at Western Maryland Health System’s Frostburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, was recently named the 2018 Social Worker of the Year by the Garrett and Allegany Caucus of the National Social Work Association.

Helmstetter was nominated by a former colleague, Carolyn O’Dell. In the nomination form, O’Dell said Helmstetter embodies all the gifts a social worker must have, including a tireless work ethic, humility, a strong grasp of ethics and patience.


Manwiller joins The Crowley Co. as CFO

FREDERICK, Md. — Jeffrey Manwiller has joined The Crowley Co. as its chief financial officer.

Manwiller previously served the company as an account manager while at Cherry Bekaert LLP. A partner at Cherry Bekaert LLP, he oversaw large commercial audits and dealt with issues such as business combinations, fair value measurements, non-controlling interests, variable interest entities, revenue recognition and complex reviews and compilations. He specialized in manufacturing and distributing, technology, and government contractor client engagements. Additionally, he has experience with risk management/internal audit engagements in the banking and quasi-government industries.


Eagler appointed sales director at Plamondon property

ALTOONA, Pa. — The dual-branded Fairfield and TownePlace Suites by Marriott Altoona recently announced that Eva Eagler was named the hotel’s new director of sales.

The Fairfield and TownePlace Suites in Altoona is owned and operated by Plamondon Hospitality Partners of Frederick, Md. It opened in February 2017 and is one of the first of its kind for Marriott.

Eagler has worked in the hospitality industry for several years, serving as the director of sales and marketing for the Courtyard by Marriott Altoona for the past five years.


Bodenheimer graduates as health coach

BOONSBORO, Md. — Heidi Bodenheimer of Boonsboro recently graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a health coach.

She studied more than 100 dietary theories and is an experienced wellness professional trained in diet, fitness, lifestyle and wellness coaching.

As a health coach, she guides and mentors people to take responsibility for their health and supports them in making sustainable lifestyle choices.

She has opened her own company, Heidi Bodenheimer Health Coaching LLC. She facilitates one-on-one, group and corporate health coaching in person and virtually.
