HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. — The third annual Jefferson County (W.Va.) Tourism Summit is set for May 16-17 at the Clarion Inn in Harpers Ferry.
The “4 towns, 1 vision” summit will include workshops, seminars, panel discussions and networking opportunities
Among other things, the opening day will feature keynote speaker Kennedy Smith of the CLUE Group, a company that works on community economic analyses, strategies and business development.
Regional business leaders will serve on panel discussions. And William Benjamin Martz, Jr., dean of the Shepherd University College of Business, will offer a workshop on writing a marketing plan.
Among other presentations and discussions, the second day will feature a report on the state of tourism by Chelsea Ruby, the state’s tourism commissioner.
