Common Market Co-op announces expansion plans

FREDERICK, Md. — The Common Market Co-op, a community-owned, organic and natural foods grocery, has purchased the former Safeway on West Seventh Street in Frederick, Md., and plans to open a store there. It will be the second store for Common Market Co-op. The new store will have nearly twice the space as the location on Md. 85, and will bring an estimated 110 jobs to the city.
