HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Volunteers from Abeles Flurie Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors recently helped Habitat for Humanity of Washington County at the building sites of two new homes.
The affordable homes are being built for qualified Washington County residents. Abeles Flurie has been supporting the Habitat mission by contributing volunteers to Habitat construction sites for seven years.
During the visit, team members and clients from Abeles Flurie presented Habitat with a $15,000 check from the Wells Fargo Foundation.
“Most of our wealth management team have grown up and/or raised their kids in Washington County and appreciate the community in which we live and work. This has been a way for us to change our attire for a day, roll up our sleeves and help another member of our community gain access to home ownership through the Habitat for Humanity program,” David Abeles, Abeles Flurie managing director, said in a news release.
“We think that it is really special and a meaningful way for our team to give back.”
