CHAMBERSURG, Pa. — Brechbill & Helman Construction Co. Inc. has been selected as construction manager for the development of Shalom Christian Academy’s campus master plan in Chambersburg, Pa.
Phase I consists of an elementary addition and renovation with a new 200-seat all-purpose room and new entrance.
Phase II will expand the gymnasium and provide a platform for drama, as well as new locker rooms, a 200-seat community room with kitchen, and renovations for the middle- and high-school classrooms.
Phase III will include a new fine arts center with a 500-seat auditorium and classrooms for drama, art and music.
Phase I is targeted for fall 2019 occupancy.
Brechbill & Helman is based in Chambersburg.
Newcomer Associates was selected as the architectural engineering firm, and Fox Associates as the civil engineering firm.
Shalom Christian Academy serves more than 400 students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade on a 33-acre campus. Another 180 students attend Growing Tree Preschool at five satellite locations.
