Here’s the story of the Hurricane February 28, 2018 By Mike LewisWork continues on the Hurricane Grill & Wings restaurant on Wesel Boulevard in Halfway near Hagerstown, Md. The restaurant’s opening has been delayed several months. In January, co-owner Christopher Girard told Board of License Commissioners for Washington County, known as the liquor board, that he couldn’t open as planned because of problems obtaining building permits. However, in recent weeks, work has been progressing. The original Hurricane Grill & Wings opened in 1995 in Fort Pierce, Fla. The company website says there are nearly 80 locations in 15 states, including Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, New York, North Carolina and Maryland.
