Tri-State Community Health Center was among 46 federally qualified health center organizations in the nation to be recognized as a National Quality Leader.
The award is for exceeding national clinical quality benchmarks — including Healthy People 2020 goals — for chronic disease management, preventive care, and perinatal/prenatal care. Tri-State was also among 427 recognized as a Health Center Quality Leader for achieving the best overall clinical performance among all health centers. As an investment in quality performance, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded $105 million to 1,333 organizations, including $85,571 to Tri-State.
Tri-State has five sites and serves about 20,000 patients in Hancock and Cumberland, Md., McConnellsburg, Pa., and Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
