CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Richards Orthopaedic Center and Sports Medicine recently announced that Dr. Robert Holzshu joined the independent orthopaedic practice July 10.
Holzshu, a Philadelphia native, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Duquesne University, and graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. He completed his internship year at the University of Medicine of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and his residency program at the Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, N.Y., where he was chief resident from 2015 to 2016.
His interest in sports medicine led him to a one year fellowship program at Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, Pa., which he completed in June. He is board certified in the American Osteopathic Association, and American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
He will see patients with muscular skeletal issues, osteoporosis, sports related injuries, joint pain and sports physicals.
Richards Orthopaedic Center is at 144 S. Eighth St. in Chambersburg and has been in business since 1953.
