Saturday, Sunday, July 1-2 — Commemorate the 154th Commemoration of the Battle of Monterey Pass, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monterey Pass Battlefield Park & Museum, 14325 Buchanan Trail East, Waynesboro, Pa. Join living historians to commemorate the 154th anniversary of the Battle of Monterey Pass, fought on July 4 during the Confederate retreat from Gettysburg. Film buffs

Monday, July 3 — Come to the monthly meeting of “The Film Lab” from 6 to 9 p.m. at Oscar’s Restaurant, 1103 E. Oldtown Rd, Cumberland, Md. The Film Lab is a monthly gathering of film professionals, patrons and fans. Each meeting features a guest speaker and might include a short screening block. The club generally meets the first Monday of each month.

Dress as art

Thursday, July 6 — Check out “Through the Lens of the Beholder: The Fine Art of Dress” noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Fashion Archives and Musuem, Shippensburg University, 1871 Old Main Drive, Shippensburg, Pa. Continues through Thursday, Dec. 7. The exhibit will feature clothing and accessories for men, women and children from the 19th and 20th centuries. The work of SU students, faculty and local photographers is featured as part of the exhibit. The photographs allow for close-up interpretive views of the pieces.

‘Cinderella Kids’

Saturday, July 22 — Bring the family to Disney’s “Cinderella Kids.” Arrive for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Show starts at 12:30 p.m. The Children’s Theatre at Way Off Broadway, Willowtree Plaza, 5 Willowdale Drive, Frederick, Md. Poor Cinderella is mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the royal ball. Get brassy

Friday, July 28 — Come out and listen to the Flood City Brass during the Bands on the Bricks concert, 6:30 to 9 p.m. on the Liberty Street Stage at Liberty and Baltimore streets at Historic City Center in Cumberland. Flood City Brass is a nine-piece band from Johnstown, Pa. They play rock, soul, funk, ballads, pop, rhythm and blues, dance favorites, and even an occasional swing or polka. For more, check out or
