More than 175 people attended a college, trade school and financial aid workshop Thursday at Washington County Technical High School.
U.S. Rep. John K. Delaney hosted the event.
Delaney, a Democrat, represents Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, which includes Washington County.
The event featured representatives from more than 60 schools and organizations, according to a news release from Delaney’s office.
Delaney also hosted a college workshop Wednesday night in Germantown and is the author of a bill designed to help people with excessive student loan debt.
“Thank you to all the schools and organizations that participated in our workshop, which was designed to give Marylanders a chance to get more information about the opportunities available to them and their families,” Delaney said in the news release.
“Education is more important than ever in securing a good-paying job and in developing the skills to thrive in today’s world,” he said.
